Empire State Tattoo Expo 2015 Coverage
The Empire State Tattoo Expo was GREAT; as to be expected. First, we would like to thank the event organizers for the hospitality and allowing us to cover such an awesome event. As soon as we hit the convention floor we were met with the sound of buzzing tattoo machines and the smell of green soap. Anyone who has ever attended a convention can tell you those two things go together like warm apple pie and ice cream.
On Sunday some lucky tattoo collector won a tattoo collaboration with Paul Booth and Nikko Hurtado – what a lucky guy!

Lydia Bruno of Wyld Chyld Tattoo
This weeks Artist Spotlight, we caught up with Lydia Bruno of Wyld Chyld Tattoo (Sarah Miller’s Wyld Chyld Tattoo). Lydia Bruno has over 9 years of experience tattooing and has a very impressive art portfolio. Lydia Bruno was also on Spike TV’s Ink Master on Season 4 but was eliminated on episode 8.Most people remember episode 8 as the show Kyle Dunbar has enough with the judges and walks off the set. We caught up with Lydia to see what she has been up to since her time on Ink Master.
How long have you been tattooing for?
I have been in the industry tattooing for 10 years. 1 of which was my apprenticeship and 6 spent working in a street shop, I started studying and truly understanding the medium 7 years into it and continue to stay hungry, learn and push myself. Continue reading Lydia Bruno of Wyld Chyld Tattoo
Ami James of Love Hate Tattoo Studios & Wooster Street Social Club
This weeks Artist Spotlight is on Ami James of Love Hate Tattoo Studios in Miami and Wooster Street Social Club in NYC. Ami has been in the tattoo scene since the early 90’s and broke the barrier of taboo by launching Miami Ink on TLC in 2005. Miami Ink was one of the first tattoo shows (besides Inked on A&E which aired the same year) to bring mainstream into a tattoo studio.
