Carriage House Tattoo Gathering 2015 Coverage

This past Labor Day was the 2015 Carriage House Tattoo Gathering in Lenoir, NC. This was the inaugural event that attracted top tattoo artists from all over the world. The event organizers were Big Gus, Tony Olivas, and Chris Holifield. The master of ceremonies was none other than Joe Germinario, aka Joey Tattoo from Spike TV’s hit series Tattoo Rescue. We would like to thank all involved for the opportunity to cover this event and all the hospitality.

The Empire State Tattoo Expo was GREAT; as to be expected. First, we would like to thank the event organizers for the hospitality and allowing us to cover such an awesome event. As soon as we hit the convention floor we were met with the sound of buzzing tattoo machines and the smell of green soap. Anyone who has ever attended a convention can tell you those two things go together like warm apple pie and ice cream.

On Sunday some lucky tattoo collector won a tattoo collaboration with Paul Booth and Nikko Hurtado – what a lucky guy!

How long have you been tattooing?

Somewhere in the neighborhood of 6 years. I was an apprentice for 2 years before I started tattooing full time, so I’ve been in the industry one way or another for 8 years. Continue reading Merv Heiner Black Lotus Tattoo
