Abstract Artist Joy Kelley-Giles
In this Special Edition we caught up with Orlando abstract artist Joy Kelley-Giles. We first saw Joy’s work when we interviewed Christopher Giles a song writer, tattoo collector and all around great guy currently living in the Orlando, Florida area. We were amazed with Joy’s artwork, so we knew we had to interview her for an article. Sure abstract artwork is not for everyone but for us all art is great to look at.
We caught up with Joy after one of Chris’ performances in Florida.

I never intended to do anything with the piece, but after I showed my best friend (who is now my husband), he gave the most positive and encouraging reaction which was a pivotal moment for me. Chris encouraged me to enter my first piece into the employee National Arts Program Exhibit, which I did, and won first place. Everyone needs a bit of encouragement from time to time, a reminder that we all have the ability to explore and achieve; my husband has been that person for me.
